Connect { 1 }

So, someone's been reading my blog, and to get me out of my little lair called Tad and I and arranged a long over due connection!

So last weekend we planned to have dinner,  What a great excuse to cook a lot of food!  Tri-tip, Mashers, green beans the works!    We talked about baseball, little house on the prairie, the Hunger Games, unwatched movies, stealth bombers, how the office is doing downhill,  life, just everything! And we played wii!

Then we sent a picture text to my sister since in an odd coincidence it happened to be on her birthday! So we were celebrating her birthday together without her! (and before you get all, "that's mean" on us, she lives 4 hours away.)

AND now I have finished one of my connections!  Thanks You guys!

(and Josh, please note the restraint it took NOT to rub the giants victory in your face.)

one more step....

I feel like for the last few years, I've been telling myself, Just one More step.
One more thing, one more hoop. one more step.

If i look at it this way, then I don't hyperventilate over the HUGENESS that might be instore for me. My God knows how much of a worry wort I am. And I pretty sure He knows that if I take it one step at a time I'll get though.

If I turn around and look back, I am sooo amazed and what I have done so far!!! I took a huge step in starting a credential program that five years ago I would have baulked at the idea. I taught for a year which has trials of its own. I stayed up too late on weeknites finishing lesson plans and fell asleep at 8 on Friday nights. California changed the requirements and wouldn't allow me to return to teaching. I swallowed my humility and went BACK to subbing after a year of full time teaching. I studied my butt off for my Math CSETS. I PASSED. Student teaching... YIKES, In 2007, if God had given me a looking glass into all that was going to tackle, I think i would have fainted.

And so I just need one more step. I need to finish some more applications and get calling these districts until someone gives me a job.

I am filling out these teaching applications and I am sweating bullets all over them.

I don't know where I am supposed to go, and I don't know where I'll be two months from now. Will I be at my dream district? Will I be logging lots of miles on my civic to teach across town? Will I be subbing again, for another year? Will I be in a low performing school? Whatever, where ever it is, I need to keep in mind its exactly where I need to be. And lately I'm finding peace in that.

My first blog post.

Here I am on the eve of my 26th birthday writing my very first post on my very own blog. My xanga account is sooo dead, I refuse to even visit for fear of the stench. Tomorrow I'll go delete it.

wait...Let me rewind.

Last week my husband Taddy came home from Nick Chapman's house super excited about facebook and all the people he's "friends" with. Up until now, I have shied away from networking sites for fear of my students google searching.) He convinces me to join. Then I see all his friends. Then I see all these blogs. I have waited as the silent reader for a while reading through my sister and her friends and stumbling on other names I recognize.

Finally, I decide. I need to connect. Connect with family, connect with friends, just connect with people. So drop me a note. Any way you see fit. (except on xanga, which is dead to me.)
